Imagination Awards Honor the Work of Independent Magazine Media
Companies and Brands in Six Categories

Winners Announced at the 2016 IMAG Annual Conference in San Francisco on May 12

New York, NY (Thursday, April 14, 2016) – MPA – The Association of Magazine Media today announced the finalists in the inaugural Imagination Awards to honor the transformational work of independent magazine media (IMAG) companies and brands. The Imagination Awards recognize projects and teams that capture the essence of a brand and demonstrate innovative thinking and imaginative tactics, well-defined business objectives, and successful execution and results.

“We are thrilled with the high caliber—and impressive volume—of nominations we received for the inaugural Imagination Awards,” said Linda Thomas Brooks, president and CEO, MPA –The Association of Magazine Media. “Reviewing the complete body of entries illustrates just how much creativity and originality is emerging from the magazine media industry, specifically in the work being done in the IMAG brands. MPA represents all types of magazine media—small to large—and this is an exciting opportunity to showcase the wide variety of imaginative projects coming from independent companies.”

Awards are being presented in six categories: Audience, Content, Digital, Events, Leadership, and Revenue, with up to six finalists in each category. The finalists were chosen by a group of 25 industry experts representing a variety of independent magazine media companies and areas of expertise.
